Pre-trib
The pre-trib view actually has three slight variations that only vary by a few hours (few days at the most):
- the rapture happens (slightly)
before the Tribulation starts
- the rapture happens at the instant the Tribulation starts
- the rapture happens (slightly)
after the Tribulation starts
Assuming creation is 4004 BC and Jesus' birth/crucifixion being around 5 BC and 32 AD, then Jesus' 2nd coming could be 2032 AD with the 7 year
Tribulation period being 2026-2032 so the pre-trib view says the rapture would happen in 2026.
One of many verses that people use to support the pre-trib view is Rev 3:10 which says
Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.
So the people supporting the pre-trib believe that the entire 7 years of the Tribulation are the time of testing and the only way for us to be protected is for
us to be raptured at the beginning.
